This event is dedicated to raising vital funds for Palestinian families who have been deeply affected by the genocide in Gaza.
The evening will celebrate resilience, hope, and solidarity as we come together to provide aid to those in urgent need.
Mohammed: “When I was 15 years old, I survived an Israeli drone missile attack in Gaza which killed my 12-year-old cousin as we were playing in the street. I have undergone 30 surgeries and continue to seek medical care while living in Canada. My family remains trapped in Gaza under dangerous and severe living conditions.”
Ayat: “I lost the love of my life, my husband, early in the war. I evacuated to Egypt with my father-in-law, who needed urgent medical care after enduring horrific living conditions, including a rat infestation. Now, as a mother of two, I am struggling to provide for my children while facing my own health challenges. My daughter Zaina needs surgery for a cyst in her throat, and I suffer from heart failure and nerve damage.”
Duha: “I have endured chronic osteomyelitis since childhood, which has left me with severe limb deformities and unable to walk. I also suffer from thalassemia and sickle cell anemia, requiring blood transfusions every two weeks. With my rare O-negative blood type, finding donors is a constant struggle. I received treatment at Al Shifa Hospital until it was destroyed, and after being displaced from Jabaliah to Rafah, I lost access to my vital care.” All proceeds from the event will go directly to supporting these families as they navigate their challenging circumstances.
