“We are finally heading back to Canada this year for June and July travelling across the whole country from west to east. We can’t wait! There’s gonna be shows spread all across the country and we’ve got new music that we are super keen to share with everyone during the beautiful northern summer. It’s so exciting to be on our way back and we can’t wait to have a good one with all our Canadian pals!” – Mitch Galbraith, Ocean Alley

The upcoming tour dates will serve as the first opportunity for Canadian audiences to experience the band’s ARIA-nominated third album Lonely Diamond live. The record debuted at #3 on the ARIA charts and has received Gold certification on five singles and been nominated for 2 ARIA Awards. Most recently they featured on Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2021 with the tracks “Touch Back Down” and “Breathe/Comfortably Numb/Money” (Triple J Like A Version).

The band recently shared brand new music with the release of the single “Touch Back Down” Infused with their classic sun-drenched sound and infectious groove, “Touch Back Down” is a story about turning a negative into a positive, and always finding the light side of a problem. It was written during a last-minute writing session in Byron Bay, Queensland, which only came to be after the legendary Bluesfest in Byron Bay, was cancelled at the eleventh hour.

In the off time between shows, the band have dedicated their time to ongoing work with long-time community partners One Eighty, Cerebral Palsy Alliance and Red Dust. Ocean Alley are constantly pushing their own boundaries and defying expectations of what their music can be.
