City And Colour Announces Intimate Western Canada Solo Tour With Vancouver Stop At The Orpheum

City And Colour Announces Intimate Western Canada Solo Tour With Vancouver Stop At The Orpheum

Acclaimed Canadian singer-songwriter Dallas Green, better known by his moniker City and Colour, is returning to his acoustic roots. After two decades of recording and performing on massive stages across the globe, Green has announced a highly anticipated run of intimate solo dates across Western Canada. Framed as a personal “evening with” experience, this special five-show trek will see the beloved artist ditch the full band setup to revisit the stripped-back, vulnerable spirit of his earliest solo performances. For fans who have followed his journey from the beginning, this tour offers a rare opportunity to experience his career-spanning catalogue in its most raw and unfiltered form.

The short but sweet Western Canadian run kicks off in early May, making stops in Edmonton, Calgary, and Victoria before culminating in a spectacular finale in British Columbia’s biggest city. City and Colour will bring this intimate solo performance to the Orpheum in Vancouver on Monday, May 11, 2026. Joining Green for all dates on this tour is the incredibly talented Julianna Riolino, who will serve as the opening act, setting the perfect tone for an evening of authentic, heartfelt songwriting in one of Vancouver’s most acoustically pristine rooms.

Taking place in beautifully ornate theatres rather than sprawling arenas, these shows are specifically designed to break down the barrier between artist and audience. Green has promised a format that embraces spontaneity and connection. Fans can expect highly unpredictable setlists that dive deep into his extensive discography, alongside carefully chosen cover songs, personal storytelling, and plenty of direct fan interaction. As Green playfully noted in his announcement, the audience can also expect a few bad jokes scattered throughout the night.

“After celebrating 20 years of recording and performing under the City and Colour moniker, I wanted to go back to the way it used to be when I first began sharing this different side of my musical heart,” Green shared in a statement to his fans. “I’ll be playing songs from all across my career, covers, telling stories and I would imagine a few bad jokes here and there. Looking forward to seeing all of you. Thank you to everyone for supporting this little songwriting project that could.”

In a concerted effort to ensure these highly coveted tickets remain accessible and out of the hands of predatory scalpers, the Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver dates will strictly utilize Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange program. This means tickets will be non-transferable and can only be resold at their original purchase price directly through the platform. The general on-sale for all markets begins on Wednesday, March 25 at 10:00 am local time. Given the limited capacity of these historic theatres and the unique nature of a solo acoustic set, tickets are expected to disappear almost instantly.

Beyond the music, City and Colour is continuing a long-standing commitment to giving back to the community. For this tour, Green has partnered with the PLUS1 initiative to collect $1 from every single ticket sold. These funds will be directly donated to Indspire, an Indigenous national charity that invests in the education of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis people. To date, Green has contributed significant funds to Indspire’s Building Brighter Futures Scholarship program through both the City and Colour Indigenous Student Bursary and the Alexisonfire Indigenous Music Bursary, which were established to support students achieving academic success.

This tour announcement arrives on the heels of a very special release for long-time followers. Recently, Green shared Sometimes Lullaby, a full-length collection of dreamy, reimagined renditions drawn entirely from his revered debut album, Sometimes. Arranged and recorded with longtime friend Erik Hughes, the project was created in honour of the album’s 20th anniversary. Recognizing that the fans who grew up listening to Sometimes are now bringing their own children to his concerts, this whimsical lullaby version serves as a touching tribute to the record’s enduring legacy and the growing families who continue to support his music.
