The Head And The Heart Announce 15th Anniversary Tour With Vancouver Stop At The Orpheum

Seattle-based indie folk heroes The Head and The Heart are officially hitting the road to celebrate a massive milestone. The acclaimed group has just announced a second round of dates for their highly anticipated 15th Anniversary Tour. This extensive North American trek pays homage to their beloved 2011 self-titled debut album, a record that helped define the indie-folk revival of the early 2010s. To mark the occasion, the band will be playing the RIAA Certified Platinum album in its entirety in select cities, offering fans a rare chance to hear early staples performed front to back in intimate theatre settings.
For music fans in British Columbia, this anniversary run brings an incredibly special mid-summer performance to one of the most stunning acoustic rooms in the city. The Head and The Heart will perform at the Orpheum in Vancouver on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Stepping into the historic Granville Street theatre is a perfect match for the band’s rich, harmony-driven sound. Joining them as the opening act for the Vancouver date is rising singer-songwriter Michael Marcagi, making this a highly anticipated evening of authentic, heart-on-sleeve songwriting.
The self-titled debut album originally put The Head and The Heart on the global map, driven by undeniable fan favourites like “Down in the Valley,” “Rivers and Roads,” and “Lost in My Mind.” Reflecting on the journey, vocalist and instrumentalist Charity Rose Thielen expressed her deep gratitude for the fans who have been there since the beginning. She noted how wild it is to be celebrating 15 years since that first record, feeling incredibly lucky that the stars aligned for the band members to meet and create art in those early days. Thielen promises that these upcoming intimate theatre shows will be unlike anything the band has ever done before.
The group recently kicked off their anniversary celebrations in high gear by performing “Rivers And Roads” on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. This television appearance follows a highly prolific period for the band. Last year, they released their acclaimed Verve Forecast album, Aperture, which saw them return to a DIY approach, marking their first self-produced record since their 2011 debut. The album yielded the massive hit “Arrow,” which climbed the charts for 30 weeks to hit #1 at Alternative radio. They also recently treated fans to the Ghosts In The Machinery EP, initially released as a limited-edition vinyl for Record Store Day Black Friday and now available digitally.
Over the past 15 years, The Head and The Heart have cemented their status as an absolute touring powerhouse. They have commanded mainstage slots at legendary festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits. Publications like SPIN Magazine have praised their live show, noting that the stage is where their distinctive sweep truly blossoms, while NPR highlights how their voices, rhythms, and personalities come together to prove that the best rock bands always exceed the sum of their parts. Their live prowess was also on full display last month during a special sold-out performance with The Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall.
Beyond the Vancouver stop, the newly expanded tour route includes prestigious venues like the Brooklyn Paramount in New York City, the Boch Center in Boston, and two highly anticipated, sold-out nights at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. The first night at Red Rocks will even feature a unique collaboration with The Colorado Symphony.
Fans hoping to catch the 15th Anniversary Tour at the Orpheum should act quickly, as the intimate nature of these theatre shows guarantees that tickets will be in extremely high demand. This is a unique opportunity to celebrate the legacy of a band that has consistently provided the soundtrack to so many lives over the past decade and a half.
