Vancouver Concert Photographer

Sixteen years in the pit. More than 1,600 shows documented across every significant room in Vancouver. Close-up, wide-angle, in the middle of it - not shot from the soundboard.

What I shoot

Live shows. Headline sets, support slots, club nights, sold-out arenas. Delivered fast enough to hit the same-night press cycle.

Festivals. Multi-day, multi-stage coverage with a shooting plan built around your publicity schedule, not just the headliners.

Artists and labels. Tour documentation, EPK stills, and promo assets shot on the road or in the room.

Venues and promoters. Room coverage, crowd and atmosphere, house photography for marketing and archive.

Rooms I know

Every venue lights differently and every pit has its own rules. Knowing the room before you walk in is most of the job.

Common questions

How much does a concert photographer cost in Vancouver?
Rates depend on the shoot: a single support slot, a full headline set, a multi-day festival, or a tour run all price differently. Licensing scope matters as much as shoot time - press-only use costs less than a full commercial buyout. Get in touch with the date, venue and intended use and you will get a firm quote.
Do you have a photo pit pass and accreditation for Vancouver venues?
Yes. SCENE IN THE DARK has been accredited at Vancouver venues since 2010, including the Commodore Ballroom, Rogers Arena, the Orpheum, Queen Elizabeth Theatre, the Vogue, Rickshaw Theatre, Malkin Bowl and the PNE grounds. Accreditation is normally arranged through the promoter or publicist ahead of the show.
How fast is turnaround on concert photos?
Selects can be delivered same night for press and social deadlines. A full edited gallery is typically ready within 48 hours.
Can I license photos from a show you already shot?
Yes. The archive covers 1,600+ shows going back to 2010, and past work can be licensed for editorial, promotional or commercial use.
