Angine de Poitrine Announce Two Vancouver Shows at The Pearl This August

Acclaimed microtonal cardboard duo Angine de Poitrine have released their highly anticipated new album, Vol. II, and announced a sweeping North American tour that brings the project to Vancouver, BC for two nights at The Pearl this August. Building on the momentum of their breakthrough debut, the duo returns with a record that pushes their boundary-defying fusion of acid techno, disco, and rock into bolder, more dynamic territory. Tickets for the Angine de Poitrine 2026 tour are available now at anginedepoitrine.com/concerts.

Vol. II: A High-Voltage Leap Forward

Vol. II arrives as one of the year’s most eagerly awaited releases in experimental rock. Brisk and relentlessly energetic, the album showcases the duo’s signature approach: intricate, evolving sound structures built from the ground up through a process of adding and removing patterns in constant metamorphosis. The acclaimed single “Fabienk” leads the charge, revolving around a single microtonal guitar loop that repeats, doubles, and transforms over a groove that is simultaneously insistent and liberating. You can purchase or stream Vol. II now via anginedepoitrine.com.

From KEXP Phenomenon to Global Stages

Angine de Poitrine’s rise has been nothing short of extraordinary. Over the past two years, the anonymous duo, consisting of Khn de Poitrine (microtonal guitars, vocals) and Klek de Poitrine (percussion, vocals), have built a devoted worldwide following through their asymmetrical, dissonant music and electrifying live performances. A full performance captured for KEXP has rapidly accumulated over 6.9 million views, introducing the duo to countless new listeners far beyond their Quebec origins. The Guardian has praised the duo’s hypnotic riffs and pulsing grooves, noting that their proggy rhythmic shifts sit as comfortably on the dancefloor as they do in the concert hall.

Vancouver Gets Two Nights at The Pearl

Vancouver fans have two chances to experience the phenomenon in person. Angine de Poitrine will perform at The Pearl (881 Granville Street, Vancouver, BC) on Sunday, August 23 and Monday, August 24, 2026, with doors opening at 7:00 PM both nights. Both shows are 19+ events. These are newly announced dates and represent the duo’s debut Vancouver performances. Given the band’s track record of selling out venues across Quebec, Ontario, and internationally, early tickets are strongly advised. Tickets are available at thepearlvancouver.com and through anginedepoitrine.com/concerts.

A North American Tour Built on Sold-Out Success

The Vancouver dates form part of a broader North American run that also includes debut headline performances in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Washington, DC, and Philadelphia, joining a pair of already sold-out nights at New York City’s Le Poisson Rouge. The North American leg follows an extensive spring and summer schedule across Quebec, the rest of Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe, much of which has sold out in advance. Festival appearances at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, Winnipeg Folk Festival, and Lisbon’s Meo Kalorama round out what is shaping up to be a landmark year for the group.

Note: Angine de Poitrine is an anonymous artistic project. Any speculation regarding the identities of its members is unverified and not endorsed by the band.
